About Us

WHO WE ARE

Our people are our product

All our scientists have at least 15 years experience in operational forensic laboratories. But we’re not just lab-bound; with thousands of cases under our belts, we’re also crime-scene-literate with in-depth knowledge of crime scene examination processes.

We’re passionate about ensuring forensic biology and DNA evidence is presented to the courts in an impartial, yet comprehensive manner, and that potentially misleading evidence isn’t relied upon. We also want our clients to understand the strengths and limitations of forensic evidence in their cases.

Not only experts in biological evidence including blood, semen, saliva and bloodstain pattern analysis, we also specialise in DNA analysis and interpretation, including the use of STRmix™ software in statistical evaluation.

To form a solid foundation in the sciences, our scientists hold degree qualifications in biological sciences and regularly undertake in-depth training and continuing professional development. Our scientists have presented at scientific conferences, delivered lectures and conducted training sessions for a variety of audiences. In addition, we make sure to seek out industry innovation at training seminars and conferences. Our scientists are members of:

  • International Society of Forensic Genetics (ISFG)
  • International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts (IABPA)
  • Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society
  • Sydney Forensic Medicine and Science Network
